Email and SMS
Send texts and emails
Message any contact from Claude, in your voice, on the right channel.
What you'll get
- A single text or email to a named contact, written and sent from the chat.
- The message shown to you in full before it goes, with the recipient named.
- It lands in that contact's GHL conversation thread like any other message, so nothing is lost from the record.
Say this
Text Dana Miller that we have a 2pm slot open tomorrow.
Email Priya the parking details for her appointment.
Reply to the last message from Marc.
The pro prompt
The exact ask we run on real client accounts
Proven liveSend a text from my [Radiance Med Spa] account to the contact [Dana Miller]. The message: "[Hi Dana, it is Sarah at Radiance. We had a cancellation at 2pm tomorrow if you want it. Just reply yes and it is yours.]" Before you send: confirm the exact contact you matched, show me their phone number, and show me the message exactly as it will arrive. Then wait for me to say send.
Click the box to select it, then press ⌘C (or Ctrl+C)
Everything in [brackets] is yours to change. The confirm-then-wait pattern is not optional courtesy. A sent message cannot be recalled.
What happens when you ask
- Claude finds the contact and shows you the match, including the number or address the message would go to.
- It shows you the message exactly as written.
- It sends only when you say so, then confirms it went and where it landed in the thread.
Good to know
- Texting requires the sub-account to have a phone number and, in the United States and Canada, completed A2P registration. Without that, texts fail at the carrier and no tool can work around it.
- Sending from Claude uses the account's own number and inbox, so the client sees a normal conversation, not something from a robot.
- One-off messages are for one person. For a sequence to many people, build a nurture instead so replies stop it automatically.
- Compliance stays yours. Business hours, opt-out language, and consent are your responsibility, not the tool's.
- Needs the full license.
Where people go wrong
| What happened | The fix |
|---|---|
| "The text says sent but never arrived." | The sub-account is not fully registered for texting. Check A2P status in GHL. This is the most common cause by far. |
| "It went to the wrong person." | Two contacts share a first name. Always give the full name or email and read the match Claude shows you. |
| "I meant to send twenty of these." | Twenty one-off sends is a sequence in disguise. Build a nurture; it stops on reply and keeps you out of trouble. |
Bulk campaigns
Individual messages are one thing; a campaign is the older bulk-send layer sitting alongside your workflows.
What campaigns are running in this account?
- Most modern accounts have none, because workflows replaced them. An empty answer is normal, not broken.
- If a client swears they are still emailing people and you cannot find the workflow, check here before you go hunting.
